Modern timber-frame extension in charred wood, Kortrijk
Much of the family’s daily life now takes place in the extension, which is a comfortable and inviting area for cooking, dining and spending time together. With a covered patio integrated into the design, any time is a good time to step outside. The patio cover features the same stylish combination of black and white.
During the renovation of the farmhouse, the barn doors were transformed into large windows set slightly back from the surface of the exterior wall. As a result, the interior of the older section is flooded with light. The charred wood of the modern extension shows up here too, and is combined with steel-look windows for a streamlined, elegant finish to the traditional buildings. In short: everything works together perfectly.
